Liverpool are keeping tabs on the progress of Marcus Pedersen at Vitesse Arnhem.
The 20 year-old Norway striker is in his first season at Vitesse Arnhem after leaving Strømsgodset in August for £1.2 million.
Pedersen had trials at Liverpool as a 15 year-old and the Reds have monitored his progress ever since.
"It was a good experience," recalls Pedersen. "I have shaken hands with all the big names, including Steven Gerrard and John Arne Riise.
"I think I have taken the right step in my career: Norway, then Holland and eventually England."
Along with Liverpool, Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion are also following Pedersen this season.
