Liverpool are continuing to show desire and fight, leaving the Emirates with a lot of positives.
You have got to take the post-match comments of Arsene Wenger with a pinch of salt because he was extremely frustrated.
He knows that with the addition of one or two players, Arsenal could be leading the Premier League.
Manchester United are going to win it but have not consistently played well and Wenger must know this.
Although it must be said if the penalty decision had gone against Liverpool, Wenger would not have seen it.
Alex Ferguson said in the week that Liverpool will be a force to be reckoned with next season and he is right.
But they will need the addition of probably half a dozen players this summer.
Jay Spearing has done really, really well of late though.
I remember Kenny threw him into the derby side to stop Mikel Arteta playing and he did extremely well.
His passing and performances have got better and you could argue that him, John Flanagan, Jack Robinson and even Martin Kelly to an extent, would not have been given the same chances under any other manager.
Okay, circumstance have dictated that somewhat but the rest of the kids at the Academy now know they have a manager who is prepared to chuck them into first team action.
And what makes it even better is that these are local boys who understand the club.
