In what is quickly becoming one of the most persistent transfer rumours of the summer, CaughtOffside.com is reporting that Liverpool want to sign Bolton defender Gary Cahill this summer.
Rafa Benitez is apparently a keen admirer of the 24-year-old and is prepared to offload players to fund any such move.
The site believes the player will be valued by Bolton at £12million and such a big price tag would mean Benitez would need to find money from player sales to get his man.
The Liverpool manager is keen to improve his defensive options at the back after some poor displays last season and it is believed that Cahill is of particular interest as he would add to the "homegrown" quota that is required by the Premier League next season.
