Defender Philip Bratley's only first-team appearances for Liverpool came during the 1914-15 season, although he might have played more but for the outbreak of the First World War.

He made his debut in the Anfield derby with Everton on 3rd October 1914 and kept his place for the next match despite a 0-5 defeat. He had a run of nine matches in the side before losing his position.

Philip made a further four appearances before the end of the season, bringing his total number of games for the club up to 13.
