Phil Chisnall is a schoolboy star forward who joined Liverpool from great rivals Manchester United in April 1964.
Chisnall made his league debut against Arsenal at Anfield on the opening day of the following season, which was incidentally the very first edition of the BBC's 'Match of the Day' programme.
He didn't play again in the league until the last four games of the same season, which also saw his only league goal for the club in the 2-0 home victory over Chelsea.
He also played in two European matches for Liverpool, including their first ever appearance in Europe against KR Reykjavik in Iceland. Chisnall had already tasted European action with Man Utd. Chisnall did not make the grade at Anfield, but was a regular at Fourth Division Southend and Stockport.
