Biscan arrived in the winter break of the Croatian season to add competition for places at the heart of the midfield.
After impressing early on against both Manchester United and Arsenal he became rather hesitant in a Red shirt, despite scoring his first goal in a League Cup semi final at Anfield in 2001.
Undoubtedly his best moments came under Rafael Benítez and in his last season with the Reds, became something of a cult hero on the Kop.
Some magnificent performances in Europe, most notably away to Deportivo la Coruna, lead some to believe that his stay at Anfield would be extended. However the chants of "Igor, Igor, Igor!" can no longer be heard echoing around the walls of Anfield. The continuing Rafalution meant that Igor went to Greece to ply his trade elsewhere.
After two and a half years in Greece 29-year-old Biscan returned to Zagreb in December 2007 and is currently captain of Dinamo Zagreb.
