Baron came into the Liverpool side for the first time in March 1925 and scored five times in the nine games he played by the end of that season.

However, such prolific form did not earn him a regular starting berth and he was only called on 10 times the following season, adding just a couple more goals to his total.

His 20th and final league match for Liverpool was at Burnden Park, Bolton on New Year's Day, 1927.
