Don Hutchinson was a shining midfield light in Liverpool's 1992-93 side under Graeme Souness.
That was the season which brought Hutch all 10 of his goals in a red shirt, as well as 42 of his overall 60 appearances for the club.
Kenny Dalglish brought Don to Anfield from Hartlepool United in 1990 on the back of some impressive video evidence, paying £175,000 for his services.
He made his debut against Notts County in March 1992 before cementing a first team berth the following season, forming an effective central midfield partnership with Jamie Redknapp.
Hutchinson fell out of favour in the 1993-94 campaign and did not feature significantly until the run-in under new manager Roy Evans. He did have the notable honour of being the last player to create a Liverpool goal in front of the standing Kop, winning a penalty which Julian Dicks converted against Ipswich Town in a 1-0 victory in April 1994.
Don's Liverpool career came end when he was sold to West Ham United for £1.5m in 1994 - but he could not settle in London.
Hutchinson spent two years with Sheffield United before a similar stint with Everton. A successful season with Sunderland followed, after which he returned to Upton Park for four seasons.
His playing days, which included 26 caps and six goals for Scotland, came to end in 2008 after fitful spells with several lower league sides.
