It is important not only to create opportunities for those with disabilities, but also to educate non disabled people about the affects having a disability might have on a person when playing football. We do this through our disability awareness programme. Coaches go into mainstream schools, colleges and universities to provide football sessions in which participants take part without using their senses of sight or hearing through the use of blindfolds and ear phones. These sessions are linked with the school awareness curriculum. "The year 5 children really enjoyed the disability awareness football sessions. The coaches were excellent with the children making the sessions fun and accessible to all." Assistant Head Teacher - Sudley Junior School
