‘Kickz’ is a nationally run 5 a-side football programme and is aimed at young people in the city aged 12-18 years old in areas of high Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB). Kickz uses football as a tool to engage with more young people utilising local ball parks and youth centres.
The Liverpool FC Kickz programme is a combined partnership with Everton FC and is the only programme to have 2 Premier League Clubs working together in this way.
The Liverpool FC / Everton FC Kickz has been running for over 18 months in 2 different areas within the city; Anfield and Stockbridge Village.
Kickz works closely with Merseyside Police and Kickz recently received an award from Knowsley Council; the ‘Safer Knowsley Partnership Award’ in which Kickz was acknowledged for their help in reducing ASB and crime in Stockbridge Village.
Kickz at Breckside Park recently had 2 special visitors; Andy Burnham Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and also Javi Valero LFC’s 1st Team Goal Keeping Coach. We would like to thank them both for coming down!
