FC Twente have admitted they will entertain offers for striker Bryan Ruiz after he was linked with Liverpool.
The Reds are interested in bringing the Costa Rican striker to Anfield in a £12.5 million deal.
Ruiz scored 24 goals in 34 games for Steve McClaren's side as they went on to win the Eredivisie title last season.
However, should Liverpool come in for the sensation, who was signed for just 5 million euros a year ago, new manager Michel Preud'homme would not stand in his way.
The former Belgium goalkeeper told the Dutch press: "The uncertainty for Twente is annoying, but we have to wait to see what happens.
"If he (Ruiz) gets an interesting offer from Spain or England, he will have to think about it."
Hodgson has been chasing Ruiz since he was manager of Fulham and now wants to bring him to Merseyside.
