Liverpool have offered €15 million for Fenerbahce striker Moussa Sow according to Turkish newspaper, Fanatik.
The Reds were linked with Sow prior to his Fenerbahçe move however, the Senegalese international decided to join the Istanbul club.
Sow said, "Liverpool and Arsenal had wanted to sign me, however, decided that a move to Istanbul would be best, I love it's unique atmosphere, it's a fantastic city."
Liverpool have faced a striker shortage this season having only one fit senior striker at the club in the form of Luis Suarez.
The Reds have strengthened recently with the signing of forward Daniel Sturridge earlier this month however, will remain exposed in the event of any more injuries to their strikers.
The former Ligue 1 Goal King joined Fenerbahçe from Lille for €10 million on a 4.5 year contract, January 2012.
The Senegalese international has scored scored 18 goals and has six assists in 41 games. Sow was nominated for the FIFA 2012 Puskas awards, for his goal against Galatasaray in the Intercontinental derby on 17 March 2012.
