A Fernando Torres brace, and a wonder-strike from Raul Meireles, gave Liverpool a 3-0 victory over Wolves and handed Kenny Dalglish his first win since returning as manager.
Dalglish was given a hero's welcome by the Liverpool fans when he replaced Roy Hodgson in early January but could only manage two defeats and a draw in his first three matches back at the helm.
However, at Molineux Stadium, star striker Torres scored after 36 minutes to set the Reds on their way to a first triumph under Dalglish when he slotted home from a Meireles cut-back.
After the break, Portuguese midfielder Meireles doubled the lead with a dipping volley from the edge of the area and Torres capitalised on a fortunate deflection in injury-time to secure all three points.
