Albert Riera is in danger of being left in limbo at Liverpool after Spartak Moscow ruled out a move for the winger.
The outspoken Spaniard has been told that he has no future at Anfield after a verbal attack against the managerial techniques of Rafa Benitez.
Two weeks ago it appeared that Riera was set to join Spartak on loan as the Russian transfer window is still open, but the deal collapsed.
The 27-year-old has since attempted to regain the faith of Benitez, however, the Liverpool boss has stated that there is no way back.
Riera, though, could be forced to wait until the summer for a move, with Spartak Moscow manager Valery Karpin saying: "I can say there will be no acquisitions before the transfer window closes."
