Spanish newspaper Marca are reporting that both Liverpool and Inter Milan are set to battle Boca Juniors for Real Madrid holding midfielder Fernando Gago.
The Argentine international has recently returned to training after an extensive rest period after the Copa America.
Real would like to sell the player and have set an asking price of €7million, a sum too rich for Argentinian club Boca, a club Gago has stated he would like to re-join.
The Reds and Inter are said to be the other clubs most interested in signing the player, according to Marca.
