Reds could recall Ayala

Liverpool are ready to recall Daniel Ayala from a loan spell at Hull City after Jamie Carragher was ruled out for three months.

Ayala moved to Hull on an initial emergency loan deal in September, but his form was such that the temporary arrangement was extended.

It is due to expire in mid-December and Roy Hodgson is looking into the possibility of taking the 20-year-old back to Anfield before then to provide cover in central defence in the absence of Carragher, who will undergo surgery on Friday.
