The new Hillsborough disaster probe will finally get under way next week.
The independent panel will have access to millions of previously unseen secret documents on the 1989 soccer stadium disaster.
The committee is headed by the Bishop of Liverpool and the Rt Rev James Jones.
The probe, which begins next Thursday, is a victory for the 96 Hillsborough victims' families who have been campaigning for justice.
Home Secretary Alan Johnson will announce the full panel line-up today.
The Mirror can reveal it includes broadcaster Peter Sissons, Professor Phil Scraton who wrote a book on the tragedy and TV producer Kay Jones who did a docu-drama.
Mr Johnson hopes it will resolve many questions. He said: "It's been a long and painful process for the families.
This is an opportunity for them to see all the documents and hopefully bring closure."
