Liverpool and Arsenal both want to sign Reading starlet Jordan Obita this summer.

England U19s left back Obita, 20, won rave reviews while making 36 appearances for the Championship side this past season and is on the radar of both the Premier League giants.

Liverpool have been tracking him for months, and the Gunners also see him as one for the future.

Reds' boss Brendan Rodgers has already gone on record as saying that improving the team's defensive options is key to maintaining a title challenge next season.

Arsenal have Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal as left-backs, but are impressed by Obita's potential.
