The agent of Yevhen Konoplyanka sparked rumours that Liverpool were still interested in his client with a cryptic tweet on Thursday.

Reports have emerged that Brendan Rodgers is still keen on the Dnipro wideman, with a fee of around £16m said to be being discussed.

On Thursday, Konoplyanka's agent James Lippett tweeted: "En route to Liverpool".

However, despite Lippett's trip to Merseyside, Mirror Sport understands that the five-time European Cup winners are not close to striking a deal to land the 24-year-old.

The table-topping Reds travel to West Ham United this Sunday knowing six wins from their final half-dozen games will see them crowned Premier League champions.
