Steven Gerrard will have his 100th England cap commemorated with a specially designed boot to mark the landmark occasion.
The Liverpool midfielder will lead out the Three Lions in Sweden tonight as only the sixth England player to reach a century of appearances following Billy Wright, Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, Peter Shilton and David Beckham.
And his sponsors Adidas haven't missed a trick in celebrating the 32-year-old's achievement, by crafting him personalised footwear to honour Gerrard's ton.
However, the Three Lions skipper isn't getting carried away with the occasion, insisting that, in terms of true icons of the game, he is no match for World Cup winners Moore and Charlton.
"I can't compare myself to a few of the people who have reached 100 caps because they are World Cup winners," said Gerrard.
"In football, hero and legend status get given out far too easily. In terms of playing of England, there are maybe 14 or 15 heroes. The rest haven't really delivered."
