Liverpool and Manchester United are set to battle it out this summer for Dnipro's Yevhen Konoplyanka, but who are in the driving seat to land the £12million-rated Ukrainian?
What's the story?
The Daily Mirror claims Liverpool will return with a summer bid for the 24-year-old after failing to agree a deal in January, but will face stiff competition from rivals United after Louis van Gaal asked for the explosive winger.
Is he available this time?
Dnipro director Andriy Stetsenko has claimed: 'Konoplyanka is still available for any club to buy. His contact has a buy-out option worth £12million.'
Konoplyanka was clearly keen on a move to Liverpool back in January, and their involvement in the Champions League next season will only heighten the attraction.
However, he also has the lure of starring in a Manchester United team under Van Gaal which may prove too much to resist for the Ukraine international.
