Liverpool are being linked with a summer move for French international winger Jeremy Menez.
The Roma star is one of a number of wide men thought to be attracting interest from the Anfield outfit, with Ashley Young, Eden Hazard and Juan Vargas also thought to be on Kenny Dalglish's radar.
Damien Comolli, director of football strategy at Liverpool, is thought to be heavily involved in the club's transfer policy, and he continues to monitor the 23-year-old after indications the player wants to leave Serie 'A'.
After a disagreement with coach Vicenzo Montella, the Daily Mail claims fans throwing stones at his car has proved to be the last straw for the player, who is now searching for a Stadio Olimpico exit.
"My departure is possible. In order to do well I have to feel people have confidence in me and that I'm important for the club," Menez told reporters.
It's claimed that Liverpool face competition from Arsenal and Manchester United in the race to sign the former Monaco star, with a summer bidding war potentially on the cards in the Barclays Premier League.
