Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool both fended off deadline day approaches from Paris St Germain for young stars Anderson and Ryan Babel.
The pair are both out of favour at their respective clubs after a string of poor performances and reported clashes with the manager.
According to French publication L'Equipe, St Germain had a cash offer for Babel turned down as well as a loan approach for Anderson rebuffed.
Liverpool's Babel recently used social networking website Twitter to vent his frustration at being dropped by manager Rafa Benitez 'without explanation'.
He has started just five games for the club all season and reportedly turned down the chance to join Birmingham City.
