Liverpool plot summer move for Barca star

Liverpool are keeping an eye on Ibrahim Afellay's situation at Barcelona, with the Dutchman struggling to make an impression at the Nou Camp.

Afellay moved to Barcelona in January having been coveted by Liverpool, Everton and Arsenal, but opted to go to Spain.

But he has since failed to break into Pep Guardiola's team and has not made a single appearance in La Liga.

Liverpool are monitoring Afellay and will tempt him with an offer this summer if he fails to turn his fortunes around.
