Jordan Henderson insists Liverpool FC's hopes of Champions League qualification remain alive - despite their last-gasp 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at Anfield.
Saturday's setback has left Kenny Dalglish's side 10 points adrift of the fourth placed Gunners with a game in hand.
There are only 12 Premier League matches left but the young midfielder believes there's still time for Liverpool FC to play catch-up.
"I don't think it is over," Henderson said.
"There is plenty of football left so we've just got to keep working hard, try to get the right results and keep playing like we did against Arsenal."
Liverpool should have been out of sight before half-time but Dirk Kuyt's penalty was saved by Wojciech Szczesny and other chances went begging.
Laurent Koscielny's own goal put LFC in front but slack marking allowed Robin van Persie to head home an equaliser.
The prolific Dutchman grabbed his second of the afternoon in stoppage time with a clinical volley.
"Obviously we're disappointed with the result. I thought we should have got something out of the game," Henderson added.
"We played some good football, particularly in the first half, and had some good chances.
"We worked really hard as a team closing down and I think we caused them problems.
"If we keep playing like that, I am sure we'll get better results.
"I think we can take positives from the performance. Everyone was disappointed after the game, but I think over the next couple of days we'll realise we did play some good stuff and created chances - that's all you can ask for.
"We'll keep working hard and hopefully next week will be a better result."
Henderson, who delivered a much improved performance, is now relishing the prospect of facing his boyhood club Sunderland at the Stadium of Light next Saturday.
It will be the first time the England Under-21s international has returned there since his £16million switch to Anfield last summer.
He said: "I'm looking forward to going back there. It's a really good stadium to play in, the fans are brilliant.
"It's a great place to play and all the boys are looking forward to it as well. We need to bounce back from the Arsenal result."
