The agent of Milan Jovanovic has confirmed that Liverpool have signed the Serbian striker who will join on a free transfer in the summer.
Jovanovic is out of contract at Standard Liege at the end of the season and Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez appears to have won the race for the free scoring striker ahead of the likes of AC Milan and Valencia.
Zoran Stojadinovic , Jovanovic's agent, said: "Milan has signed an agreement by fax, he has opted for a big club. Jovanovic is looking forward to working with coach Benitez who insisted Jovanovic join Liverpool."
The 28-year-old striker has agreed a deal at Liverpool until the end of season 2012/2013 and will earn 11 million euros over the next three campaigns.
Jovanovic will provide Liverpool with more attacking options as he can play on the left wing as well. In 2009/2010, he has scored 12 goals in 24 appearances.
The Serbian international (23 caps, 10 goals) has hit double figures in his last four seasons.
