Barcelona starlet Jeffren admits he is proud to here that Liverpool are interested in him.
The Venezuela-born forward has been on the fringes of the first-team while the likes of Lionel Messi, David Villa and Pedro have led Barca to domestic and European glory this season.
After enjoying a revival under Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool are now thought to be in a prime position to pluck the 23-year-old from the Camp Nou.
But Jeffren insists he is shutting out any transfer talk as he prepares to represent Spain in the European Under-21 Championship in Denmark this month.
"I do not think about that now," he said. "I'm here and I am thinking about what we're doing.
"The truth is that when teams like Liverpool are mentioned, I am proud of their interest, and we'll see what it does to me."
Spain face England in their opening game on Sunday with Jeffren set to make his 10th appearance for the U21's.
He came through the Barca academy after being lured from Tenerife in 2004 and made his first-team debut aged 18 in October 2006.
