Japanese international Keisuke Honda has issued a come-and-get-me-plea to Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson following consistent speculation linking the CSKA Moscow forward with a move to the club.
Honda has been steadily linked with Arsenal and Liverpool since the World Cup, however Hodgson has emerged as the frontrunner for the striker with Arsene Wenger ruling out any move for a striker in the January transfer window.
Hodgson is eager to strengthen his forward options being linked with West Ham's Carlton Cole, FC Cluj forward Lacine Traore, while Sport.co.uk confirmed today that the former Fulham boss has also made contact regarding a move for FC Utrecht striker Ricky Van Wolfswinkel.
