Liverpool are keeping an eye on Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski with a view to making a concrete offer for the Polish International in the summer.

Liverpool's midfield is not seen as strong enough, certainly not when you compare it to the likes of Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and Tottenham and it is no surprise to see them looking for a quality midfielder and Blaszczykowski is definitely quality.

Blaszczykowski had been out of favour at Dortmund, but recently has forced his way back in to the reckoning, however reports in the German media have indicated that the 26-year-old is far from happy and would welcome a move in the summer, his first preference was for a move back to his native Poland, that however is unlikely and a move to Liverpool would reportedly be welcomed by the Polish national team captain.

Blaszczykowski is an icon in his native Poland and highly thought of, he has played his part in the success that Dortmund have enjoyed over the last couple of seasons but his future does appear to lie elsewhere, the question is where and as things stand, it could well be at Anfield.
