Express: Race on for Zouma

JUVENTUS appear primed to join Liverpool in the race for Kurt Zouma this summer.

Liverpool are looking for a replacement for Jamie Carragher, and have been eyeing up both Zouma and Raul Albiol.

The 18-year-old, who has emerged through the ranks at St Etienne, seemed to favour a move to the Reds according to his agent.

But reports in France suggest that Juventus are ready to duke it out with the Reds for Zouma.

Zouma is currently valued at £10m which shouldn't be prohibitive for either Liverpool or Juve.

The Serie A champions could free up some funds if Arsenal meet their £12m asking price for Stephan Lichsteiner.

Zouma has made 17 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
