Hannover have no plans of selling goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler to Liverpool, German media reports.
On Tuesday, Zieler's agent Gunter Neuhaus confirmed Liverpool's interest in the former Manchester United reserve shot-stopper. But Hannover officials have unanimously refuted those rumours and said Zieler, contracted to Hannover until 2015, is not for sale.
Hannover chief Martin Kind said "Zieler stays", with general manager Dirk Dufner and coach Mirko Slomka echoing his words in Bild, claiming they "would never think about selling" him.
Slomka said: "Zieler is a super goalkeeper. It is rather normal he is in the focus. I was actually wondering why until now he had not been approached by another club," while Dufner added: "We don't have any doubts, it is completely in our hands."
According to reports, a buy-out clause enabling Zieler, who has featured in 74 consecutive Bundesliga matches for the Lower-Saxony side, to leave the club for €8 million expired on May 1.
The player is currently with the Germany team, who will face Ecuador and the United States during their US tour later this month.
