Daniel Agger will miss the visit of Manchester City this weekend, after Liverpool FC opted not to appeal the red card he received against West Bromwich Albion.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers had stated that he would look into the possibility of an appeal for the Denmark defender, who was dismissed for a professional foul on Albion striker Shane Long during the 3-0 defeat at The Hawthorns.
But having assessed their options, Liverpool have chosen to accept the decision.
Agger will now serve a one-game Premier League ban, but will be available for the game against Arsenal on September 2.
