Anzhi Makhachkala midfielder Willian has admitted he would be interested in a move to Liverpool but says several clubs are keen on him.
Willian has emerged as a top target for the Reds before the transfer window closes on September 2 as boss Brendan Rodgers looks for a marquee summer signing.
It is thought Anzhi value Willian, who only joined them from Shakhtar Donetsk in January, at around £30m and that is a fee Liverpool are prepared to pay for the right player.
The Brazil international has seemingly opened the door for a move to Anfield after being quoted by ESPN Brasil as saying he would welcome the switch with a move to the Premier League his top choice.
"For now, all there is are talks," he said. "There was the Manchester City bid and that was turned down and that was a while ago. Now I'm waiting for a new bid to arrive in the next days from a few clubs, like Liverpool.
"If it's really Liverpool, then it is surely a great club. I'm hopeful and very calm, just waiting for the best. "I know some clubs have talked with my agent about the money, but he hasn't told me anything. He only said that he had conversations with some clubs, and he also didn't tell me which clubs."
When asked if the clubs keen were English, Willian added: "I think so. England is my goal. The English championship is the dream of many players and I'm no different. I like the Premier League very much, I enjoy the English football and certainly, if that happens, it will be very good for me and for my image."
Willian's availability this summer has come as a surprise following the news Anzhi owner Suleyman Kerimov has decided to undertake a cost-cutting exercise with several of the club's top stars being told they can leave for the right price.
