Liverpool have been linked with a move for Victor Valdes, who is a free agent after leaving Barcelona last season.
Valdes, who won six La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns during his time at Camp Nou, is currently sidelined with a serious knee injury and isn't expected to return to fitness until at least December.
The shot-stopper is currently a free agent and as such can agree a deal with any potential suitor outside of the transfer windows and Liverpool are ready to wait for Valdes to prove his fitness before offering him a deal.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is thought to be keen to strengthen his options in goal and is reportedly considering a move for Valdes, who reportedly saw a move to Monaco fall through this summer as a result of the knee injury he suffered whilst playing for Barca in March.
