West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame, who is hoping for a switch to Liverpool, looks set to leave Upton Park this summer.
Whether Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has a real interest in the player remains to be seen but it is not the first time the Senegal powerhouse has been linked with a move away from the Hammers and he has made it clear he wants to move to Liverpool in the future.
The 26-year-old, who is also wanted by Newcastle, has one year left on his current contract but is unlikely to be offered the sort of terms he wants to extend that deal.
He is apparently after £80,000-a-week but West Ham unlikely to fulfil those wishes, although whether Liverpool would is also open to question.
His current deal has a buy out clause of £3.5million and according to reports a summer move looks on the cards.
He said earlier this year that he wants an Anfield switch: "Liverpool? I can't tell you if I will be a Liverpool player next season. But I think my name is still on their wanted list. "I don't hide it, I'm ambitious and I want to join a top-six side. I am 26 years old and it's time to take that step."
