Manchester City defender Micah Richards is set to leave the club this summer with Liverpool joining several clubs interested.
Richards has struggled to earn a place in the City side under Manuel Pellegrini this season and he is understood to be growing frustrated by his lack of opportunities.
The 25-year-old lost his place in the starting line-up last season after dropping out through injury and being replaced by Pablo Zabaleta, who has tied down that spot ever since.
The England international was offered a new deal and a pay rise by the Citizens earlier in the campaign but he opted to turn it down and keep his options open.
Liverpool are understood to be keen on taking him to Anfield but will face competition from Newcastle, West Ham, Sunderland and AC Milan, amongst others.
City will look to try and bring in a figure in the region of £7million for the full-back, who they believe still has a lot to offer.
