Reports in Germany claim that Liverpool are one of three clubs monitoring the progress of Hertha Berlin midfielder Raffael. The Brazilian playmaker has had an excellent season so far in the Bundesliga with five goals to his name and numerous assists. That has brought him to the attention of watching scouts and Liverpool boss Kenny Daglish has been joined by Italian giants Sampdoria and Lazio, who have also expressed an interest in the 26-year-old. Hertha Berlin are in no rush to sell though, as the South American has two years left on his current contract. So they will be looking for a good deal if they are to let him go, with German paper Kicker believing the bidding will start at around £7million. Despite a massive outlay on new players since his arrival at Anfield there appears to be no slowdown in Daglish's spending spree at the club. Source: Clubcall
