Blackpool star Charlie Adam - a target for Liverpool, Aston Villa and Birmingham - has handed in a transfer request, according to reports.
The Scotland international has been the subject of intense transfer speculation in recent weeks, with Kenny Dalglish's Reds emerging as front-runners to sign him.
Blackpool have rejected bids from Liverpool, Villa and Blues for the former Rangers midfielder so far this month.
Tangerines boss Ian Holloway has stood firm over his belief that Adam should stay put until the summer, but now he has to contend with an official request.
So far the highest bid for Adam has been Liverpool's £4.5million offer and it remains to be seen if they will increase that to over £5million.
Adam has 18 months left on his contract at Bloomfield Road.
