Arsenal watch Dann

Arsenal assistant manager Pat Rice and chief scout Steve Rowley watched Birmingham centre half Scott Dann play in a friendly match against Tottenham.

The £8million-rated Dann is also a target for Liverpool.

Both clubs also watched Bolton's Gary Cahill last Friday.

However, Dann, 24, was on the losing side against Spurs, who won 6-3. England Under 19 international Harry Kane scored a  hat-trick.

New signing Souleymane Coulibaly, John Bostock and Tom Carroll also scored for a young Tottenham side.

Stoke, who held talks with Dann before signing Matthew Upson, are continuing to negotiate with Tottenham over Wilson Palacios and Peter Crouch but are some way apart on fee and wages.
