Alberto Aquilani has finally ended increasing speculation that he is in line for a summer move to Juventus by vowing to prove his worth at Liverpool.
Reports in Italy had suggested that the playmaker was yearning for a return to Serie A after failing to make an impact in the Premier League following his £17million move for AS Roma last summer.
Juventus have long been admirer of the 25-year-old and were hoping to tempt him away from Anfield despite previous attempts to lure him back to his homeland.
However Aquilani has refuted any talk of a move away from Liverpool, having now fully recovered from the ankle problem that restricted his appearances for the club last season.
"I am staying at Liverpool to make up for many things," he insisted.
"I have finally recovered from my ankle injury. Juve have approached me in the past and now I'm reading of their interest, but I really don't know anything about it."
