The agent of Blackpool's Charlie Adam has confirmed that the former Rangers midfielder has handed in a transfer request at the club.
Interest in the Scotland international has been rife during the January transfer window, with Liverpool, Aston Villa and Birmingham City all having had bids rejected for the 25-year-old.
Despite manager Ian Holloway being desperate to keep hold of his talisman, the player's agent, Kenny Moyes, revealed that a transfer request has been put to the club: "I can confirm Charlie has handed in a transfer request."
Adam has been in impressive form for the Seasiders since joining them from SPL giants Rangers back in 2009, inspiring the club to promotion from the Championship last term.
Manager Ian Holloway suggested over the weekend that his star man would be allowed to leave Bloomfield Road for the right price but labelled previous bids received for his skipper as "derisory".
Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston, meanwhile, confirmed that the club had received a £4 million offer from Liverpool on Friday which was subsequently rejected.
Kenny Dalglish's Reds are now thought to be in the driving seat for Adam as the Anfield club look to bolster their squad in January as they attempt to climb up the Premier League.
However, Sky Sports News report that Blackpool have rejected Adam's request, adding doubts over whether the Scot will make the switch to Merseyside this week.
