Daniel Agger took a step forward in his bid for full fitness by completing another 90 minutes for Denmark on a night when Reds across the continent booked their place in next summer's World Cup.
The Dane has yet to feature for Liverpool this season but after making a comeback for the reserves two weeks ago he was deemed fit enough to play in both his country's qualifiers - including Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to Hungary.
Despite the result, Denmark will be in South Africa next year.
Another Reds defender who will make the trip is Martin Skrtel, though he wasn't involved as Slovakia pipped Slovenia to top spot in Group 3 with a 1-0 win in Poland.
England's World Cup spot was already secure but Glen Johnson helped them finish their qualifying campaign in style, playing 90 minutes in a 3-0 win over Belarus.
Italy were also already through before Wednesday night's 3-2 victory against Cyprus. Though Andrea Dossena and Alberto Aquilani were not on the pitch, both will have hopes of boarding the plane next June.
As seen on LFC TV, Spain beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 5-2, with Albert Riera playing 90 minutes. Fernando Torres was deemed fit enough for the match day squad after his injury scare at the weekend, though he did not come on. Pepe Reina wasn't even on the bench as the World Cup favourites completed their 100 per cent qualifying record.
Sotirios Kyrgiakos came off injured after 44 minutes of Greece's 2-1 win over Luxembourg. He and his countryman will have to get through the play-offs in order to reach South Africa.
Andriy Voronin's Ukraine still hope to make it after a 6-0 thrashing of Andorra. The Liverpool striker was not involved and will be desperate to get back into the side in time for their play-off encounter.
One Red who won't take part next summer is Yossi Benayoun, whose Israel side drew 0-0 with Group 2 winners Switzerland. Philipp Degen played no part for the Swiss but will hope to make the 22-man squad once the tournament proper gets underway.
Two more Liverpool stars heading for the World Cup are Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt - though Holland did not play on Wednesday night.
