Sotirios Kyrgiakos played for the first half as Greece slumped to a 2-0 defeat to Paraguay in a World Cup warm-up game in Switzerland on Wednesday evening.

Goals from Enrique Vera and Lucas Barrios inside the opening 25 minutes condemned the Greeks to a loss in their final fixture before the South Africa finals.

Kyrgiakos and his teammates kick-off their World Cup campaign against South Korea on June 12.
