Derby day betting preview

We entertain Everton in the early kick-off on Saturday but nobody will need an alarm clock to be wide awake for one of the biggest games of the season.

It is 1999 since Everton last won in the Barclays Premier League at Anfield and Liverpool are 1.89 favourites to extend that record and take all three points.  Victory would put the Reds two points clear of our rivals for the fourth Champions' League spot.

A repeat of the 2-0 scoreline from Goodison earlier in the season can be backed at odds of 8.5 and it could be worth taking a look at Dirk Kuyt to be the first goalscorer at odds of 6.0.  He has scored three in the last three games and found the net in that game at Goodison as well.
