Liverpool FC is backing a Barclays Premier League campaign warning supporters of the risks of purchasing tickets from unofficial sources.
It is a growing issue in English football with illegal touting of fake and fraudulent tickets happening online and around stadiums every week.
The Premier League is working closely with clubs to address the threat and is urging fans to buy tickets through official sources to avoid disappointment.
It has produced a list of illegal ticketing websites and what to look out for when purchasing tickets for a match, which can be viewed here.
Premier League head of supporter services, Cathy Long, said: "The rise in touting is leaving more and more fans out of pocket. Many fans who buy from unofficial sources either pay far above face value for second-hand tickets, or worse, purchase a fake or non-existent ticket.
"Our clubs are working hard to address the problem, and hopefully raising awareness will mean fewer fans become victims of touts."
