Ronald Jones made five appearances in Liverpool's forward line just before the Second World War.
He scored on his debut in a 2-0 win against Manchester City at Anfield towards the end of March 1938 but that was his only goal for the club. Jones replaced Berry Nieuwenhuys three times during the 1938-39 season. They were the only matches that the South African missed that year and Ron never figured in Liverpool's first-team again.
Jones passed away in March 2010.
