Lee Peltier was a versatile player during his spell at Anfield and played in midfield and defence.
A product of the Academy, Rafa Benitez used him in the Carling Cup as a right back. However, with his first-team opportunities at Anfield very limited, Peltier was loaned out to League One club Yeovil Town in the 2007-2008 season and after succeeding there was sold to the West Country club for a small but undisclosed fee in January 2008.
At the end of June 2009 Huddersfield Town announced that they would be signing Lee Peltier on a three-year contract. Huddersfield manager Lee Clark had been impressed by Peltier when he had a trial spell at Norwich where Clark was assistant manager. Clark continued to monitor the player's progress knowing that he was also being watched by clubs in higher divisions than Yeovil Town. Clark commented about the signing "He is a fantastic athlete and is very accomplished on the ball, as you would expect given he was schooled at Liverpool. We are delighted to have Lee here. He will be a tremendous asset. He can also play as a holding midfield player or at centre-back. Versatile players give me options".
