John Curran was a defender who played 20 times in the 2nd and 3rd seasons of Liverpool's Football League existence - way back in the 1890's.
He shared the right-back position with Andrew Hannah, playing 14 times to Hannah's 16, in 1894-95, the season when we were immediately relegated back to the Second Division after their inaugural promotion year. The next year, when Liverpool won the Second Division championship again, he started the season at right-back but was replaced in the autumn by Archie Goldie.
