Jim McBride was a half-back who was a regular member of the team that won the Second Division championship in the 1893-94 season.
He only missed four of the 28 league matches and also played in the Test Match at the end of the season, a 2-0 victory over Newton Heath, that ensured the club would play in the top division the following season. But Jim only played five more times that year as Liverpool made an immediate return to Division Two, finishing bottom of the table with 22 points and then losing the decisive Test Match to Bury.
Other Clubs:
Renton Wanderers, Renton, Ardwick [Manchester City], Ashton North End (amateur)
