A skilful forward who scored one goal every three games at LFC.
Anderson signed for Liverpool in December 1951 when he was 20-years-old.
He was given his debut on 28th March 1953 in a home fixture with Charlton Athletic but that was his only appearance of the 1952-53 season.
He scored 5 times in 13 games the following season but it wasn't until 1954-55 that he really established himself in the side, playing in 32 of the League fixtures and contributing a further 10 goals.
He appeared fairly regularly over the next season and a half before being replaced by the young Jimmy Melia. Anderson moved on to Barnsley in July 1957.
